Mauritania

According to the latest stats in Mauritania, 20.1% of the children are missing school (1 out of every 6). This percentage has dropped from 46.3% to 20.1% between 1995 to 2015. National Educational profile, 2018 has sorted various reasons behind the low participation of kids in school. According to the report, gender inequality, income disparity and underprivileged areas of the country are significant challenges that are not allowing the kids to reach school.

Tomorrow school is a nonprofit organization that provides a sustainable waste management system and hygiene education to the children and the teachers. Moreover, The Islamic development bank has granted $3.5 million to finance distance learning programs and awareness campaigns for students, parents, and teachers. These campaigns will educate the masses and try to eliminate the barriers to providing quality education.
