VISION

Ubiquitous Eradication of Illiteracy in Perpetuum

1) The Planet Earth, primarily and extraterrestrially in the Universe (all other planets inhabited by humans in space).

2) Solar system where everyone can learn about everything everywhere, at one’s convenience for free

3) Foster and help build learning and knowledge societies that are:

“Where there is no vision, there is no hope.”  George Washington Carver

“Our brains will be connected to the cloud by 2035.”  Ray Kurzweil

“Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.” Jonathan Swift

“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”  Helen Keller

“If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed.  The vision pulls you.”  Steve Jobs

ECONOMICS

The conventional educational models are unequipped to fix the educational needs of millions of OOSC in various nations around the world due to the following prerequisites:

1. Massive funding

  • hundreds of Billions of dollars (construction, OPEX, etc.)

2. a huge number of schools

  • several Million (given small populations in remote & rural areas)

3. a compelling number of qualified teachers

  • tens of millions of teachers, administration, and support staff

4. Years of drudgery

  • constructing a school, a manhunt for qualified teachers and their indoctrination can take years, particularly in rural areas of developing countries

Whereas the extreme flexibility of the AI-based remote educational model catering to the diversified demands via a variety of certifications based on aptitude, interest, and competence, will ensure the quickest path to earning on an acquisition of key skills through online gig work being globally offered on platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, etc., where their counterparts (with High School and/or College education) are earning an average of $35/day or $1000/month (albeit without benefits) while the median income in these countries is typically half of that amount!

The destitution of skilled labor with a plethora of unskilled ones in Developing nations
a) Students will specialize in skills like character building, creativity, critical thinking, innovation, leadership, cooperation, and entrepreneurship to become prolific with dexterity and productive to procure and earn via Gig work
b) High skilled labor will aid in boosting the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a developing nation
c) The Classical theory of employment and output states that an increase in the supply of labor causes an increase in output (supply of labor refers to the efficiency and productivity of labor)

SLS = Supply of Skilled Labor;                    I = Income

       DLS = Demand of Skilled Labor;               O = Output/GDP

d) Artificial Intelligence will, scale up productivity and efficiency of labor, resulting in increased demand for them, such an output ultimately will outcrop a boost of GDP in developing nations

ENVIRONMENT

The constant Climate change has posed one of the biggest environmental threats to earthly concerns. World leaders are working tirelessly to take up arms against this crisis by making policies, through international organizations, and other joint efforts. However, the role of education in combating the crisis of climate change needs to be highlighted as well.

In order to suppress climate change crisis, most countries are developing safer forms of energy to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. Nevertheless, such drastic changes require financial and public support, especially in Asia and Pacific regions that can exasperate the efforts to mitigate climate change.

Therefore Asia and the Pacific region should work towards economic development through climate-friendly and ecologically sustainable means, which requires a transformation of the living and thinking patterns of the people that can come about through education.

Education can play a pivotal role in mitigating climate change and inspiring the world towards eco-friendly solutions.

Learning for People, Planet, Prosperity and Peace

Here’s how:

1) Formative years of education should include entropy regarding sustainable development and global citizenry. Thereby enlightening students towards the significance of mitigating climate change.

2) Equipping students with the necessary means to promote sustainable living.

3) Illustrating students with reference marks cheering global citizens to go green as Greta Thunberg and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai

4) Investment in quality education will produce well-informed individuals, thereby mitigating climate change.

5) Education will produce innovative leaders to tackle climate change, scale up food production, transition to clean energy, and create green jobs.

Climate Research & Action

Energy efficiency the unsung hero of the fight against climate change

“We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.”  Native American Proverb

“The Earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship. We cannot say we love the land and then take steps to destroy it for use by future generations.”  John Paul II

“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.”  Franklin D. Roosevelt

Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth… these are one and the same fight. We must connect the dots between climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages, global health, food security and women’s empowerment. Solutions to one problem must be solutions for all.”  Ban Ki-moon
